THE ANGELUS
 
The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary
And she was conceived by the Holy spirit    ... Hail Mary....
 
Behold the handmaid of the Lord :
Be it done to me according to your word    ... Hail Mary....
 
And the word was made flesh :
And dwelt among us :                ... Hail Mary....
 
Pray for us O holy Mother of God :
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. 
 
Let us pray : 
 
Pour forth / we beseech you O Lord / your grace into our hearts / that we to whom / the incarnation of Christ /  your Son was made known / by the message of an angel / may by His passion and cross / be brought to the glory of His resurrection / through the same Christ our Lord.   Amen.
Glory be to the / Father and to the son / and to the Holy spirit: As it was in the beginning / is now / and ever shall be / world without end.                 Amen.
 
MORNING PRAYER
 
Almighty God / our loving Father / we bow before you for your blessings / before we begin this day. You are the true light and wisdom. Enlighten our hearts / to receive the knowledge that is imparted to us. Teach us to study with concentration / and to co-operate with our teachers. Grant us the courage / when we are afraid to do good. Push us back / when we go wrong. O Lord / enlighten our teachers too / so that they may be guided and strengthened by you / to lead us along the right path.    Amen.

Prayer  I
 
Oh! God of love, replace the tension within me with a holy relaxation. Replace the turbulence within me with a sacred calm. Replace the anxiety within me with a quiet confidence. Replace the fear within me with a strong faith. Replace the darkness within me with a gentle light. Replace the night within me with the day.
 
Prayer  II
 
Oh! God of wisdom, enlighten me, guide me, console me, tell me what I should do. Give me your orders. I submit myself to all that you desire of me and to accept all that you permit to happen to me. Let me only know your will.
 
Prayer  III
 
Oh! God, from whom all wisdom and knowledge proceed, bless my study and open my mind to the eternal truth. Make me diligent and constant in learning. Give me Lord, an eager mind to learn something new everyday. And may my aim always be to reach you, Oh invisible and eternal truth.
